Au nord de la commune, à la pointe de Vallières, le charmant petit port de Saint-Georges de Didonne constitue un havre de paix. Surplombé par le phare de Vallières, c'est un lieu idéal pour contempler, assis à l'ombre d'une Yeuse (bois de chênes verts), la vaste plage de 4 Km de la commune ainsi que la forêt de Suzac. Celle-ci succède avec harmonie à l'urbanisation sous boisement. Enfin, vous serez subjugué par la majestueuse Pointe de Suzac qui, au sud de la commune, avance sur l'embouchure de l'Estuaire de la Gironde, le plus vaste d'Europe.

In the North of the town, at the point of Vallières the nice harbour of Saint-Georges de Didonne is a haven of a peace with its overhanging lighthouse, it's the perfect place to sit in the shade of a green oak to gaze at the wide 4 km long beach and the forest of Suzac.
